Series' scientific committee: Talitha Cooreman-Guittin, Regina M. Frey, François-Xavier Amherdt

Advisory Board: Astrid Kaptijn, Michel Steinmetz

Practical theology offers both a critical and creative reflection on the actions of Christians in the contemporary world, in constant dialogue with humanities and social sciences. In its pastoral dimension, it examines church practices in order to better understand the challenges of transmitting the faith in a world undergoing profound change.

Supported by the Centre for Comparative Pastoral Theology and the two chairs—one French-speaking and one German-speaking—in pastoral theology, religious education and homiletics at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Fribourg, the series “Théologie pratique en dialogue / Praktische Theologie im Dialog” aims to make current research in these fields accessible, combining academic rigour with practical relevance.

The volumes in the series bring together doctoral and postdoctoral theses, monographs and collective works (whether or not arising from conferences and study days), published in one or more languages, reflecting the vitality and diversity of research in practical theology.

The series is edited by Professors Talitha Cooreman-Guittin and Regina M. Frey, together with Professor Emeritus François-Xavier Amherdt. Professor Astrid Kaptijn and Professor Michel Steinmetz sit on the Advisory Board.

Previous volumes in the collection (up to number 70) are available from Schwabe Verlag.
