Charlotte Ladevèze

Charlotte LADEVÈZE is a Romance and comparative literature scholar specializing in 20th- and 21st-century Franco-Italian literature, with a focus on ecopoetics and environmental narratives. She earned a Franco-German PhD from the Université de Lorraine and the Universität Augsburg with a dissertation on the ecopoetic writing of Jean Giono, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Universität Augsburg, dedicated to water cultures, the voices of water, and the representation of dams and river developments in Francophone literature. Currently a fellow of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, she is conducting research on the 'fluvio-graphy' of the Po River at the Centro Tedesco di Studi Veneziani in Venice. Her monograph “Le Chant du monde” de Jean Giono: devenir d’un manifeste éco- et géopoétique will soon be published by Classiques Garnier.
